Amy Byler

Raised in the Guys Mills area, Amy has worked in a wide range of jobs from food production, food service, children’s behavioral health, and most recently, as a tax professional. She enjoys the challenges of working in a tax office and providing service in an area that is complex and unknown to many.

Amy has always been drawn to other cultures. She recently spent several years living in Colombia, serving the Ultra program. Amy desires to live with an eternal perspective - ready, willing, and looking for opportunities to be the hands and feet of Jesus in her home country and abroad. 


Carla Miller

Carla Miller

Born and raised on the plains of Kansas, Carla calls Partridge, Kansas, home. After graduating from Pilgrim Christian High School in 1989, her first full-time job was working at a daycare, caring for toddlers. Since that time she has spent most of her working hours in the classroom, which she found very rewarding. She started her teaching career at Pilgrim Christian Grade School, where she served for six years. Then she transitioned to being an aide and tutor at Yoder Charter School for twelve years. Most recently, she taught English in a German-Mennonite colony in Mexico. In the eight years she was there, she learned to love the people and the culture. Carla has always enjoyed numbers and working with finances, and is glad for her current job at Yoder Financial Services that utilizes those interests.

Carla enjoys spending time with family, connecting with friends at a local coffee shop, and reading. She loves her 18 nieces and nephews. Her relationship with the Lord is very important to her, and she desires to do whatever she does for the glory of God.


Delores Schrock

Secretary

 

A recent resident of Northwestern Pennsylvania, Delores became skilled in special education working as a schoolteacher in several different communities for 8 years. She enjoys working with mentally handicapped people and served as a volunteer at Faith Mission Home for 2 years. Delores has always been intrigued by accounting and finance and is proud to be pursuing a career at Yoder Financial Services. She finds life and deep satisfaction in her work.

In her time away from work, Delores enjoys hosting people. She loves when people make themselves at home and treat her home as their own. 


Dennis Yoder, EA

CEO, Licensed Tax Professional

Dennis Yoder

Born in Chestertown, Maryland, Dennis Yoder grew up on a dairy farm as the youngest of four children. He completed twelve grades of homeschool studies, graduating and earning his G.E.D. in 2003.

In 2004, one year after launching Yoder Financial Services, he took a tax-preparation course from H&R Block in order to further develop his tax preparation skills.  From 2007-2009 Dennis attended Faith Builders Educational Programs, graduating from their Ministry Apprenticing Program in 2009.  In 2012 he was licensed by the US Department of the Treasury to represent clients before the Internal Revenue Service as an Enrolled Agent. He received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting in 2019 and his Master of Science in Accounting with a focus on auditing & financial reporting in 2020, both from Liberty University.

Dennis has served in several part-time roles—washing dishes and delivering baked goods, bookkeeping and sales for a furniture company, managing the office of a farmers’ market, and bookkeeping for a trucking company.  After graduating from Faith Builders he served as Business Office Manager at Faith Builders for seven years. In addition to owning Yoder Financial Services he currently serves on the boards of Streetlight Christian Ministries and Urban Mennonite Ministries.  He is also a member of the National Association of Enrolled Agents.

Dennis’s hobbies include reading, astronomy, and travel. His desire is to know Jesus deeply and follow Him in such a way that makes Jesus attractive both to those who do not know Him and to those who are already following Him. His goal is to help bring the reality of the Kingdom to the business world in which he interacts.


Eugene Yoder, EA

Eugene Yoder

Eugene was born and raised on Maryland’s Eastern Shore. After graduating from high school, he worked on the family farm for six years. During this time, he attended Calvary Bible School and met his wife-to-be, Jewel Hochstetler. After getting married, Eugene & Jewel settled in Aroda, Virginia where Eugene taught at their church school for five years. In 2004 he took his family of five to Northwestern Pennsylvania and completed the two-year Teacher Apprenticing Program at Faith Builders. In 2006, he graduated from Faith Builders and taught four more years in Aroda.

In 2010, the Yoder family relocated to Dinwiddie County, Virginia as part of the Aroda church outreach. Eugene began working for Yoder Financial Service in 2013. He completed a tax preparation course through Liberty Tax Services and spent a tax season working at Liberty. In 2020 he passed the IRS exams and became an Enrolled Agent. For the last 12 years, Eugene has been employed in a variety of work, including teaching, tax preparation, remodeling, trucking, & general waste removal. After teaching the 2024-2025 school year, Eugene is back at YFS for the foreseeable future.

Eugene serves in the small church in McKenney and enjoys his role as husband/father to his wife and nine children. The Yoders enjoy interacting with community people as well as recreation such as biking, hiking, and visiting historical sites. They desire to “seek first the Kingdom of God” and help this Kingdom come to earth.


Jessica Troyer

Jessica Troyer was born and raised in the Guys Mills area and still resides in the area. She was the secretary for the firm for 4 years before transitioning into the Nonprofit Compliance role, which she does remotely while staying home and raising her young daughter. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, being a homemaker, and crocheting when time allows.


Joann Kauffman

Joann Kauffman

Joann (Bontrager) Kauffman was born and raised in Millersburg, Ohio. She has served in several non-profit ministries in a variety of roles. She met her husband Sheldon while serving at Bald Eagle Boys Camp as a secretary where they served together for several years after their marriage. She along with her family moved to Guys Mills, PA in 2008 to serve at Faith Builders.

Joann enjoys spending time with her husband and 4 children. They especially love spending time outdoors and camping. Joann is passionate about living out the Gospel in everyday life.

 

Yoder Financial Services first started as a hobby.  In the Spring of 2003, Dennis Yoder filed his first tax return for his brother.  The growth of the company from that first return was organic and very fast.  As Dennis' circle of contacts grew, so did Yoder Financial.

Yoder Financial Services exists to bring order out of financial chaos, to help clients meet their tax obligations with integrity and intelligence, and to help business owners gain the financial intelligence necessary to lead their businesses well.
