Amy Byler

Amy was born in Illinois but spent most of the past 17 years in Saegertown, Pennsylvania,  and calls it home. After graduating from Faith Builders Christian School, she filled a secretarial position and worked in food production before completing a term of voluntary service at Ice Shack in Mill Hall, PA. After returning to Saegertown, she worked as a Behavioral Health Technician with Children’s Behavioral Health in Meadville, PA, for a year. Amy has recently returned from another term of voluntary service and personal development in South America with the Ultra program.

Amy feels the Lord calling her to live a lifestyle of missions, whether at home in the States or abroad. It is her goal to live with an eternal perspective; ready, willing, and looking for opportunities to be the hands and feet of Jesus.


Benjamin Bergey

Benjamin Bergey

Benjamin Bergey was born and raised in Lansdale PA, to Larry and Linda Bergey. After completing 12 years of school, Ben began working for his Dad painting houses. In 2018 Ben moved into the world of cars as an Automotive Technician/Service Manager for Bergey’s Tire and Automotive Service. He continued to work for Bergey’s for five and a half years.

Now, Ben’s time outside of work is spent with his wife Courtney. They enjoy taking care of their home together, helping in their local Church, and sharing their home with neighbors. Ben also enjoys a variety of outdoor activities such as: tennis, volleyball, pickleball, and taking his wife sailing on small quiet lakes. He still enjoys working on cars and is thankful for a garage that he can work on friends and family’s cars at home. Ben’s heart is to see the Kingdom of God grow on this earth.


Carla Miller

Carla Miller

Born and raised on the plains of Kansas, Carla calls Partridge, Kansas, home. After graduating from Pilgrim Christian High School in 1989, her first full-time job was working at a daycare, caring for toddlers. Since that time she has spent most of her working hours in the classroom, which she found very rewarding. She started her teaching career at Pilgrim Christian Grade School, where she served for six years. Then she transitioned to being an aide and tutor at Yoder Charter School for twelve years. Most recently, she taught English in a German-Mennonite colony in Mexico. In the eight years she was there, she learned to love the people and the culture. Carla has always enjoyed numbers and working with finances, and is glad for her current job at Yoder Financial Services that utilizes those interests.

Carla enjoys spending time with family, connecting with friends at a local coffee shop, and reading. She loves her 18 nieces and nephews. Her relationship with the Lord is very important to her, and she desires to do whatever she does for the glory of God.

Dennis Yoder, EA

Dennis Yoder

Born in Chestertown, Maryland, Dennis Yoder grew up on a dairy farm as the youngest of four children. He completed twelve grades of homeschool studies, graduating and earning his G.E.D. in 2003.

In 2004, one year after launching Yoder Financial Services, he took a tax-preparation course from H&R Block in order to further develop his tax preparation skills.  From 2007-2009 Dennis attended Faith Builders Educational Programs, graduating from their Ministry Apprenticing Program in 2009.  In 2012 he was licensed by the US Department of the Treasury to represent clients before the Internal Revenue Service as an Enrolled Agent. He received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting in 2019 and his Master of Science in Accounting with a focus on auditing & financial reporting in 2020, both from Liberty University.

Dennis has served in several part-time roles—washing dishes and delivering baked goods, bookkeeping and sales for a furniture company, managing the office of a farmers’ market, and bookkeeping for a trucking company.  After graduating from Faith Builders he served as Business Office Manager at Faith Builders for seven years. In addition to owning Yoder Financial Services he currently serves on the boards of Streetlight Christian Ministries and Urban Mennonite Ministries.  He is also a member of the National Association of Enrolled Agents.

Dennis’s hobbies include reading, astronomy, and travel. His desire is to know Jesus deeply and follow Him in such a way that makes Jesus attractive both to those who do not know Him and to those who are already following Him. His goal is to help bring the reality of the Kingdom to the business world in which he interacts.


Eugene Yoder, EA

Eugene Yoder

Eugene Yoder was born in 1975 and raised on Maryland’s Eastern Shore. After graduating, he worked on the family farm for six years. During this time heattended Calvary Bible School and met his wife-to-be, Jewel Hochstetler. In 1997, Eugene married Jewel and moved to Aroda, Virginia. He taught at the church school for five years after which he took his family of five to Northwestern Pennsylvania and completed the two-year Teacher Apprenticing Program at Faith Builders. In 2006, he graduated from Faith Builders, and taught four more years in Aroda.

In 2010, the Yoder family relocated to Dinwiddie County, Virginia as part of the Aroda church outreach. Eugene began working for Yoder Financial Service in 2013. He completed a tax preparing course through Liberty Tax Services and spent a tax season working at Liberty. Currently Eugene works for a local waste removal company hauling waste water and setting restroom trailers. In the winter and early spring, he enjoys delving into tax-related work. In 2020 he passed the IRS exams and became an Enrolled Agent.

Eugene serves in the small church in McKenney and enjoys his role as husband/father to his wife and nine children. The Yoders enjoy interacting with community people as well as recreation such as biking, hiking, and visiting historical sites. They desire to “seek first the Kingdom of God” and follow God’s plan for His world.

Jessica Renea Troyer was born in Townville Pennsylvania. Jessica grew up in a small town the oldest of two children. She was homeschooled and has an eighth grade education, earning her GED at age 19.

Jessica worked for Byler’s Relish House for five years before she became a secretary for Yoder Financial Services. Outside of work, spending time with family and friends is something Jessica enjoys. She also likes to dedicate her time to youth club and kids club ministry work, something that is a big part of her life.


Joann Kauffman

Joann Kauffman

Joann (Bontrager) Kauffman was born and raised in Millersburg, Ohio. She has served in several non-profit ministries in a variety of roles. She met her husband Sheldon while serving at Bald Eagle Boys Camp as a secretary where they served together for several years after their marriage. She along with her family moved to Guys Mills, PA in 2008 to serve at Faith Builders.

Joann enjoys spending time with her husband and 4 children. They especially love spending time outdoors and camping. Joann is passionate about living out the Gospel in everyday life.
